Terms & Conditions of Service

  • Materials and accessories not recommended or supplied by Imperial Electrics are not subject to the guarantee provided on workmanship, Imperial Electrics cannot guarantee the quality of the finish or fitting of such accessories and/or materials.

  • Materials and accessories provided by Imperial Electrics remain company property, even when fully fitted, until such time as the relevant invoice is paid in full.

  • Estimates provided prior to works are subject to change according to operational requirements.

  • Any circuit to be worked on will be fully tested prior to any work being carried out to ensure the safety and integrity of said circuit. Works will not continue until any fault(s) have been rectified, at additional cost to the client.

  • Certificates are a legal document, and their safe keeping is the responsibility of the client. Duplicate certificates can be produced inside a 5 year period from date of issue at a cost to the client of £10 per page.

  • It is the client's responsibility to attain planning permission or any other consent required to carry out works, Imperial Electrics takes no responsibility for any penalties or other ramifications arising from failure to attain said permissions prior to commencing works.

  • Invoices for minor works, or those not requiring different dates of attendance between fixes, are issued at the time of completion, and are due on issue unless otherwise arranged.

  • Invoices for larger projects are issued after each stage of work. The work stages are defined as completion of 1st fix, completion of 2nd fix and completion of testing & certification. All invoices are due on receipt, unless otherwise arranged.

  • Failure to pay within 5 working days will result in the addition of late payment fees, and the forfeit of any discounts or offers. The new invoice for the full amount due with additional charges will be issued on the 6th day, and the original invoice becomes void.

  • Failure to settle accounts within one calendar month of due date will result in the issue of a letter pending court action, at a cost to the client of £25. Additional action will be taken as explained in said letter.

  • Work is guaranteed for 12 months from date of installation, as are products and materials provided by Imperial Electrics. This guarantee excludes the cover of lamps, transformers, starters, wear & tear or client misuse/damage.

  • Landlord multi property cover is limited to 5 properties per contractual agreement, the service agreement is a rolling contract payable in advance in one, two or four weekly installments.

  • Landlords must nominate in advance up to 5 properties per agreement, non nominated properties are subject to full rates of payment.

  • Out of hours fees are payable within 5 working days of attendance, non payment will result in the rejection of contract renewal for all properties until cleared.

  • Imperial Electrics reserves the right to make reasonable changes to these terms without notice.
